Residents may place Tree Waste and Bulk Waste together for curbside collection once a month. This service helps keep neighborhoods clean while reducing illegal dumping and providing a convenient way to dispose of large household items and yard debris.
What Can Be Collected
Tree Waste includes clean wood materials such as tree limbs, branches, and stumps.
Bulk Waste includes items such as furniture, appliances, and other large household materials.
Appliances containing refrigerant must have a certified technician’s tag showing the refrigerant has been removed.
Placement Instructions
Heavy trash should be placed at the curb between 6:00 p.m. the Friday before and 7:00 a.m. on the scheduled collection day.
Place items so they are accessible to the collection vehicle. Do not stack under wires, signs, or mailboxes, or on top of water/gas meters, hydrants, or other utilities.
Do not place items in the street, on the sidewalk, or in a way that blocks traffic.
Service is limited to occupied residential units and vacant residential lots where the waste is generated from maintenance of the property.
Restrictions:
No more than 8 cubic yards (about the size of a minivan) of heavy trash may be set out.
Up to 4 cubic yards of building material (excluding shingles, brick, plaster, or concrete) may be collected if generated by the resident.
Contractor-generated material (tree removal, construction, roofing, remodeling, etc.) will not be collected. Contractors are responsible for removing their debris.
If authorized and unauthorized items are mixed, the entire pile may be refused.
Collection services are not available to multi-residential structures with more than eight units.
Tires Disposal
Residents may place up to 4 tires at the curb for collection during Bulk Waste months. Collection crews will separate the tires from the Bulk Waste. It may take up to a week before crews return and retrieve the tires. Separating the tires from the rest of the Bulk Waste allows the SWMD to properly process tires.
