Effective Sunday, January 4th, 2026, the City of Houston Solid Waste Management Department (SWMD) will adjust the days of operation for its six Neighborhood Depositories and Environmental Service Centers. Beginning on Sunday, January 4th, Neighborhood Depositories will now be open Tuesday through Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and closed on Sunday and Monday. Environmental Service Center - South will be open Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and closed Sunday, Monday and Thursday. Environmental Service Center - North will be open the 2nd Thursday of the month from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
