Solid Waste Management Resumes Collection Services on January 27, 2026

 

HOUSTON — Solid Waste Collections will resume normal operations beginning Tuesday, January 27. All affected collection services will be pushed back by one day. Residents whose scheduled collection day falls on Monday should place carts out on Tuesday, January 27 for collection. Residents whose scheduled collection day falls on Tuesday should place carts out on Wednesday, January 28 for collection.

All Solid Waste Management facilities will re-open, including Neighborhood Depositories, Recycling Centers, and administrative offices.

Residents are encouraged to follow collection schedules and check the department website for updates. The City thanks Houstonians for their patience during the service interruption caused by the recent freezing weather.
