Add-A-Can Program

The City of Houston Solid Waste Management Department (SWMD) is temporarily pausing new enrollments for the Add-A-Can program. This pause allows the department to evaluate service capacity and maintain timely, reliable service for all customers.

Current Add-A-Can customers will continue to receive service as scheduled. Any new requests that have been submitted will be closed and must be re-submitted once enrollment resumes.
