Ticket Information: Ticket Dismissal - Post Compliance Dismissals

You may present proof of compliance in person or submit proof by mail or email for case dismissal on the violations listed below prior to or on your arraignment court date.

Post-Compliance Violations Eligible for Case Dismissal by mail or email
•Some violations may require administrative fees
•Check, Cashier Check, Money Order [Payable to: City of Houston Municipal Courts] or Credit Card*.

**Must be submitted on or before your arraignment court date to avoid a Failure to Appear Warrant

Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility:
Submit proof of insurance which lists you as an insured driver on the date and time your citation was issued.

Failure to Display:
Submit a copy of your valid Driver’s License [front-side only] valid on the day and time the ticket was issued along with the required $10.00 administrative fee.

No Driver’s License:
Submit a copy of your Driver’s License [front-side only] valid on the day and time the ticket was issued along with the required $10.00 administrative fee.

Expired Driver’s License:
Submit a copy of your Texas Driver’s License [front-side only] renewal receipt along with the required $20.00 administrative fee.

Failure to Report Name/Address Change:
Submit a copy of your temporary license or Texas Driver’s License [front-side only] reflecting the updated name/address along with the required $20.00 administrative fee.

Driver’s License Restriction/Endorsement Violation:
Submit a copy of your Texas Driver’s License [front-side only] displaying the removal of the endorsement along with the required $10.00 administrative fee.

Expired Vehicle Registration:
Submit a copy of your Texas Department of Vehicles Registration Renewal receipt and/or a photo of the registration insignia affixed to the windshield along with the required $10.00 administrative fee.

No Front/Rear License Plate:
Submit photos of the license plates affixed to the front and rear of your vehicle along with the required $10.00 administrative fee.

Altered or Blurred/Obscured License Plate:
Submit photos of the front and rear license plates which display the removal of the blurred/obscured item along with the required $10.00 administrative fee.

Defective Equipment (non-commercial vehicles only):
Submit a photo or receipt of the part and/or repaired defective equipment along with the required $10.00 administrative fee.
