Keep Houston Clean – Free Yard Sign Giveaway

Council Member Alejandra Salinas is providing hundreds of free “Keep Houston Clean” yard signs to Houston residents to combat illegal dumping and connect neighborhoods with legal trash, recycling, and disposal resources.

Illegal dumping creates health and safety hazards, negatively impacting Houston neighborhoods, streets, drainage, and public spaces. The signs remind the public that illegal dumping is a crime and include a QR code directing residents to City of Houston disposal resources.

Houston residents, Super Neighborhoods, Civic Clubs, and community organizations may request free yard signs from Council Member Salinas’ office while supplies last.

Need Trash, Recycling, and Legal Disposal Resources?

The City of Houston provides Residential Drop-Off Centers and Neighborhood Depositories where residents can legally dispose of many types of household waste, including recyclables, bulky items, tree waste, appliances, tires, and other accepted materials.

Using these City resources helps prevent illegal dumping and keeps our neighborhoods clean.

Before visiting, residents should review the City’s website for locations, hours, accepted materials, identification requirements and disposal limits.
