Below are a sample of some of the annual events that the Houston Crackdown program runs, participates in, or provides support for.

Houston Red Ribbon Rally Day - October 23, 2025
NThe annual Houston RED RIBBON RALLY (RRR) will take place on Thursday, October 23rd, 9:30am - 12:00pm at The Harmony School of Science and Technology, 9321 W. Sam Houston Pkwy So., Houston, TX 77099. Your staff person will only have to conduct one presentation for approximately (10-15) mins. All of the students grades 5,6,7, and 8th will be in the same auditorium, so there won't be a need for moving them around as in years past. Harmony school officials are delighted that we are bringthe RRR to their school and are planning a big show of support. NOTE: In previous years harmony school brought the largest contingent of students the RRR. Other activities include displays from our RRR partners such as the DEA, US Marshal's Office, HPD, and others. Tiffany Thomas, Houston City Council Member has been sent an invitation to be one of our key speakers.

Houston Memorial Service for lives lost due addiction and overdose - September 27, 2025
The memorial service will take place on Saturday, September 27th, 3:00pm, at the Mabee Whole Life Center, 2nd floor conference room, located at 1905 Jacquelyn St., Houston, TX 77055. It will follow a day-long event on the premises, called the Greater Houston Rally for Recovery that will take place earlier that day. The memorial service will follow the same format as the candlelight vigil with just a few changes. As usual it will be free and open to the public.

16th Annual Community Drug Awareness Day Conference - August 1, 2025

Prescription Pill Take Back Day - April 26, 2025
The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) coordinates DEA National RX Take Back Day. Americans who previously participated turned in more than 377,086 pounds (188.5 tons) of unwanted or expired medications for safe and proper disposal at the 5,327 take-back sites that were available in all 50 states and U.S. territories. In Houston, approximately 2,824 lbs of prescription pills were collected at multiple sites around the city. The date will be on the April 26,2025 from 10 AM – 2 PM.
