Abraham Polatsek has been active in the construction and real estate industries for more than 25 years. He serves as Director of Business Development for Dunhill Construction, their Houston-based family-owned commercial general contractor. In this role, Abe focuses on cultivating long-term partnerships, advancing strategic growth initiatives, and strengthening relationships across both the public and private sectors.

Abe is deeply committed to civic leadership and industry advancement. He currently serves as Vice Chair of the Associated Builders and Contractors of Greater Houston and remains actively engaged in legislative advocacy efforts at both the state and federal levels. He is a strong advocate for building an industry that reflects the strength and diversity of the communities it serves, and he works intentionally to create pathways for broader participation across the construction profession.

A passionate champion of workforce development and educational excellence, Abe serves on the University of Houston Construction Management Industry Advisory Board and advises multiple school districts on career and technical education initiatives. He is a sought-after speaker at high schools and universities, where he shares practical insight into the construction industry and encourages students to pursue meaningful career pathways in the skilled trades and project management fields. He is particularly committed to expanding opportunities for women in construction and regularly supports initiatives that elevate female leadership and professional growth within the industry.

Abe actively contributes his time and perspective to advisory boards, nonprofit organizations, and industry committees throughout the region. In recognition of his leadership in workforce development, he received the ABC CMEF Workforce Development Maverick Award.

Grounded in the values of faith, family, and community, Abe volunteers with the USO and remains engaged in numerous professional, civic, and philanthropic efforts. Through these roles, he seeks to strengthen the construction industry while creating opportunities for the next generation of leaders.
