Keynote Speaker

Mayor Whitmire welcomes Sgt. Major Angela Maness, U.S. Marine Corps, Retired as the keynote speaker. Sgt Major Maness has spent 30 years as an active-duty Marine and served as an Administrator, Drill Instructor, Range Coach and she trained candidates at Officer Candidate School in Quantico, VA. She served in multiple combat deployments in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. Her numerous honors include the Legion of Merit, Meritorious Service medal, Navy Commendation medal and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement medal.
