Gigi Lee
Chief of International Affairs
Gigi Lee leads the Mayor’s Office of Trade and International Affairs (MOTIA), where she oversees global partnerships, diplomatic protocol, and international trade and business relations for the City of Houston. She works closely with the Consular Corps, international chambers, and local and global organizations to strengthen Houston’s position as a leading international city.
With over 30 years of public service experience—including roles under three Houston mayors, the Texas Senate, and the Houston Airport System - Gigi has contributed to advancing the city’s international engagement and global profile.
Originally from Seoul, South Korea, she holds a degree in Spanish Literature from the University of Houston and is a senior fellow of the American Leadership Forum.
