Thank you for your interest in volunteering. The Volunteer Registration for the 2025 Mayor’s Back 2 School Fest is closed. We hope you will consider volunteering next year.

• The virtual volunteer orientation will be held Wednesday, July 30 at 6:00 p.m.

A Few FAQs

1. Where do I shuttle park?
2. What time is my shift? Please call 832.393.0955 for confirmation.
3. Do you have seated volunteer positions? This event is spread over Halls D & E at the GRB and covers a lot of space.  There are very few seated assignments. We recommend wearing very comfortable shoes.
4. Can I bring my 10 year old child? While we appreciate teaching volunteerism at an early age, this event is fast paced and more suitable for children 15 and up.
5. Can I attend the event and volunteer? Yes, you are welcome to attend the event before or after your shift. Please make sure to register at: www.houstontx.gov/btsf/registermystudent.html.
6. Our group wants to be assigned together, is that possible? Not always, we have a lot of ground to cover with this event, but we do try our best.
