September 15, 2026 - Houston police are investigating the fatal crash that occurred at 10800 North Wayside Drive about 10:55 p.m. on Monday (September 14).

The identity of the deceased female is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant M. Sudduth and Officer K. Hines reported: 

An unknown vehicle was traveling northbound near the above address when the pedestrian stepped into the roadway and was struck by the vehicle.  The vehicle, traveling at a high rate of speed, fled without stopping to render aid and turned eastbound on Little York Road.

Responding Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the pedestrian deceased at the scene.

The investigation is continuing.
