May 26, 2026 - Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of a person found at 8950 Country Creek Drive about 8:15 a.m. on Monday (May 25).

The identity and cause of death of the individual is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives W. Huff and J. Nguyen reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a report of a body in a stormwater catch basin adjacent to a bayou at the above address. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the person deceased.

The investigation is pending autopsy results and cause of death by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
