March 04, 2026 - Houston police are investigating the fatal crash that occurred in the 4700 block of Woodway Drive about 9:20 p.m. on Tuesday (March 3).

The identity of the deceased male, 18, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Griffiths and Officer V. Taylor reported:

The operator of a black Yamaha motorcycle was traveling westbound at a high rate of speed near the above address when the operator struck a black Jeep Cherokee. The Jeep Cherokee was traveling eastbound on Woodway and attempting to turn left onto North Post Oak when the accident occurred.

Responding Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the operator of the motorcycle deceased at the scene. 

The male driver of the Jeep, 55, remained at the scene, did not show signs of intoxication, and was questioned and released.
