Investigation into Fatal Crash at 400 Almeda Genoa Road
January 16, 2026 - Houston police are investigating the fatal auto-pedestrian crash that occurred at 400 Almeda Genoa Road about 3:00 a.m. today (January 16).
The identity of the deceased male, 67, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Griffiths and Officer D. Hoang reported:
The male pedestrian was in the eastbound lanes of the roadway, near the above address, when he was struck by a vehicle of unknown make or model. The driver of the vehicle did not stop to provide aid. A second driver observed the victim in the street and called 911.
Responding Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the male deceased at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
