January 12, 2026 - Houston police are investigating the fatal crash that occurred at 9000 Hammerly Boulevard about 4:15 p.m. on Sunday (January 11).

The identity of the deceased male, 22, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant V. Vo and Officer R. Ramos reported:

The operator of a red Yamaha FZ1 was driving eastbound at a high rate of speed at the above address when the motorcycle crashed into a gray Ford F150. The driver of the Ford was crossing the intersection when the accident occurred. 

Responding Houston Fire Department paramedics transported the operator of the motorcycle to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased. 

The driver of the Ford was not injured. He remained at the scene, did not show signs of intoxication and was questioned and released.

The investigation is ongoing.
