April 29, 2026 - Houston police are investigating a fatal auto-pedestrian crash in the 12700 block of Westheimer Road about 8:45 p.m. on April 27.

The identity of the deceased male is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant M. Sudduth and Officer L. Nguyen reported:

A blue Hyundai Sonata was traveling westbound at the above address when it struck a pedestrian walking in a moving lane of traffic. The pedestrian was pronounced deceased.

The female driver, 24, was not injured. He was questioned and released.

The investigation is ongoing.
