April 13, 2026 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a male and the wounding of a teen at 5700 South Gessner Road about 4:20 a.m. on Saturday (April 11).

The identity of the deceased male, 17, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant B. Roberts and Detective J. Wallschlaeger reported:

Officers responded to a report of a shooting at the above address and found two males suffering from gunshot wounds. Responding Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the male deceased at the scene. A second male, 16, was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.

At this time there are no known witnesses or motives.
