September 3, 2025 - Houston police have learned a man critically injured in a crash in the 11700 block of Airline Drive at about 8:50 p.m. on Aug. 29 has died.

The identity of the deceased male, 40, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Northbelt Patrol Division officers and Vehicular Crimes Division Officer D. Thompson reported:

A gray Toyota Yaris was traveling southbound at the above address when the driver struck a pedestrian in the roadway. Paramedics transported the pedestrian to an area hospital where doctors pronounced him deceased on Tuesday (Sept. 2).

The female driver, 45, remained at the scene, did not show signs of intoxication, and was questioned and released.

The investigation is ongoing.
