October 3, 2025 - Houston police have learned the identity of the victim in a fatal stabbing at 4512 Katy Freeway (West Interstate Highway 10) service road about 7:50 a.m. on Tuesday (Sept. 30).

The victim is identified as Franklin Torres-Concho, 16. A picture of the victim is attached to the news release.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives J. Caten and K. Stringer reported:

Officers responded to a report of a person down at the above address and found an unresponsive male in a vacant lot suffering from multiple stab wounds. Paramedics pronounced the male, later identified as Franklin Torres-Concho, deceased at the scene.

The victim was known to frequent the Katy Freeway area near Shepherd Drive, Yale Street, W. 11th Street and Washington Avenue. At this time, there are no known suspect(s) or motive.
