Suspect Arrested, Charged in Fatal Crash at 7000 Kassarine Pass
November 10, 2025 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal hit-and-run crash in the 7000 block of Kassarine Pass about 12:55 a.m. on Sunday (November 9).
The male suspect, 15, was referred to Harris County Juvenile Probation authorities on failure to stop and render aid causing death and failure to stop and render aid causing bodily injury charges. Names and booking photos of juvenile suspects are not releasable.
The identity of the deceased male is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant R. Dallas and Officer D. Thompson reported:
A red GMC Sierra pickup truck was traveling southbound at the above address when the vehicle's side mirror struck the arm of a female who was in the roadway. The GMC continued at a high rate of speed and struck a male who was in the roadway. The driver did not stop to render aid. Houston Fire Department paramedics transported the male to an area hospital where doctors pronounced him deceased.
Officers later located the vehicle and arrested the male suspect.
The investigation is ongoing.
