August 18, 2025 - Houston police are investigating the fatal crash at 9600 Clearwood Street about 7 p.m. on Saturday (Aug. 16).

The deceased male is identified as Jorge Salazar Landa, 38.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant V. Vo and Officer T. Syed reported:

A gray Ford Mustang was traveling northbound at a high rate of speed at the above address. The Ford veered off the road, struck a light pole and a tree. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the driver deceased at the scene.

The investigation in continuing.
