December 19, 2024 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 1300 North Freeway about 2:35 a.m. today.

The identities of the two deceased males, 37 and 31, are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Griffiths and Officer F. Flynn reported:

One of the males, 37, was driving a red Honda Fit the wrong way - northbound in the southbound lanes - near the above address and struck a gray Dodge Charger traveling southbound on the freeway. The drivers of both vehicles were pronounced deceased by responding Houston Fire Department paramedics.

The investigation is continuing.
